GENERAL MANAGER/DES MOINES, IOWA

Job Description: Hillyard, Inc., an industry leader in commercial cleaning products and janitorial supply distribution, is looking for a general manager to manage the branch location in Des Moines, Iowa. This position reports to Vice President of Corporate Distributors and is directly responsible for the overall management and profitable growth of the distributorship and the development of the human resources within the branch operations.

Responsibilities: Achieving financial business plan results, developing a sales/marketing plan, recruiting and training sales and operational personnel, developing and monitoring a financial budget, and overseeing normal business functions such as inventory, accounts receivable, computer operations, warehousing, shipping, and delivery. In addition, focusing sales growth on target markets, implementing the CCAP and Hillyard Sales Process.

Preferred Requirements: Requires 5 years experience in branch management in the wholesale distribution industry and a Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing or equivalent work experience. Strong leadership, sales, business acumen, communication, accounting, and marketing skills are required. Good computer skills for excel, word, outlook, powerpoint and branch operation system.

SALES MANAGER/LANCASTER, PA

Reports directly to the General Manager

Major Responsibilities:
Participate in the recruitment, training and development of sales personnel. Development of the annual sales and marketing plan in conjunction with the branch operating budget. Driving the Hillyard Selling Process including development of a value-added culture and CCAP expertise. Achieve growth goals for HMG gallons, new accounts, and gross profit. Closely monitor and work with the sales staff "in the field" to insure that sales & marketing objectives are implemented and achieved. All other tasks normally associated with Sales Management, including but not limited to:
Planning and conducting sales meetings.
Coordinating vendor interaction.
Oversee customer in-services and branch open houses.
Promote Branch service center.

Minimum Requirements:
This position requires strong leadership and communication skills as well as a very strong work ethic. Candidate must be available and willing to work a flexible schedule. Duties frequently require work hours longer than 40 hours per week and evening or early morning activity. Three years experience in the Sanitary Supply industry. Computer skills sufficient to effectively use word, excel, power point and SAP Operating System. A college degree is preferred.

OVER-THE-ROAD DRIVER

This position includes over-the-road driving in 48 states, loading and unloading, and other duties as assigned. Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds, and experience with material handling equipment. Must have CDL with HazMat endorsement and will need to be able to pass the DOT physical, Background check, and Drug and Alcohol screen as well as the road and written tests. Candidates should have some knowledge of how to operate Thermo-King units, must be familiar with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and willing to learn and operate electronic on board computers.
